What this is

Copper Empire is a free browser game: a darkly comedic, entirely fictional crime-management simulation. By playing, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't play.

It's fiction

Everything in the game — the city, the characters, the "copper runs," the buyers, the substances, the prices — is invented for entertainment. Nothing in the game is instructional, an endorsement of any illegal activity, or a claim about the real world. Don't steal copper. Suggested for players 13 and up.

Price & refund policy

The game is free to play and supported by advertising. There is exactly one optional purchase: Remove Ads, a one-time $5 USD payment that permanently disables advertising for you. There are no subscriptions, no "premium" currency, no pay-to-win items, and no other fees of any kind — hidden or otherwise.

  • Payment is processed by Stripe on Stripe's secure checkout page; your card details never touch this site.
  • Delivery is instant: ads turn off in the browser you purchased in. On a new device or after clearing browser data, use Restore purchase (on the Upgrades tab) with the email you used at checkout.
  • Because the product is a digital unlock delivered instantly, all sales are final, except where a refund is required by law. If something goes wrong — you paid and ads didn't turn off, you were double-charged — contact us at [email protected] and we will make it right.

Your save, your device

Game progress is stored only in your browser (see the privacy policy). We can't restore lost saves — clearing your browser data, using a different browser or device, or private-browsing mode will lose or hide progress. That's the trade-off for us holding none of your data.

No warranty

The game is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We may change, break, or discontinue it at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from playing (or being unable to play) a free video game.

Licensing & credits

  • All character art (the drifter, the guard) is original work by the site operator.
  • All other graphics are drawn procedurally by the game's own code.
  • All sound effects are synthesized in the browser by the game's own code — no samples.
  • Text is rendered in your system's built-in fonts; no licensed web fonts are embedded.
  • Built with open-source software (Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS) used under their MIT licenses.
